I am fashioned-impaired and can’t dress myself. What kind of shoes go with boot cut jeans?

Boot Shoes
redheadedemt_1972 asked:

I live in a western state and have finally transitioned to a modern boot-cut jean. However, due to my lifestyle I also wear cowboy boots most days. I hate tennis shoes. Are cowboy boots appropriate and what else looks good with boot cut jeans besides tennis shoes? I am in my mid thirties and finally got rid of the ’80s tapered levi look. Help!

I am not sure if you are Male or Female!? But- As a whole I wouldn’t wear Cowboy boots with EVERYTHING! I would shoot for more Dressy or Relaxed Style! Go to the Store called Clarks- U will find something a Bit better!

Low cut boots, or sensible (flat) heels

  3. flats look cute with any style of jeans…..if you want a girly look. flip flops also look good…..hope this helps

You’re off to a great start, boot cut jeans were designed for boots. You may want to look at other types of boots, short or high boots, since you are comfortable with cowboy boots and that size heel look for a comparable heel height, but a width about half the size of your current boots.

flats. vans orignals. 2 or 3inch heels. and the straight leg is back in by the way. it all depends on the occasion. good luck!

boot cut jeans are called that for a reason. boots are fine most of the time. you can buy casual shoes, too. Rockport makes a nice casual shoe. ask at the store.

I like wearing some strappy sandals with jeans. I think they look nice with wedge sandals or stilleto heels if you can wear them.

Yes, they are appropriate, depending on the jeans. Almost any type of boot will work w/ boot cut jeans. A lot of people have replied w/ flats but it seems that the bottom of the leg might be too wide for flats (it’s hard to say w/ out seeing the jeans though). I wore a pair of 3″ heels w/ some this past weekend and they looked great together. It really depends on the jeans. Look in a full length mirror and if you like it- go for it! ; )

i usually wear boots, flats, flip flops, sandals. whatever I want really. the only thing I don’t like are tennis shoes. Something about tennis shoes and jeans that I think look stupid.

Primarily I wear my 2 1/2 boots in a variety of styles depending on what I am wearing. I also wear a pair of brown or black 2 inch heels from Kenneth Cole in this great leather with metal stud detail.
