Obviously I dont want to spend a lot, theyre just for mucking and possibly a few lessons.

I would go with a rubber tall boot. I have I believe a Ovation boot. It is rubber with a heel. It is good for mucking out and riding and also poo rinses off easily
If you want an actual riding boot I’d go with Mountain Horse… I had a pair, loved them, and eventually had to throw them away they were so worn out
When I ride in the winter I use my Ariat tall boots with thermal socks. The only problem is that they are not waterproof. I also have Cabellas I really like them, but you can’t ride in them…and I could only find them in mens sizes.— I’d suggest those for barn work… you can get liners that are super warm. I also have have a pair of Joules… they’re not cheap, but I really like mine… and I am able to ride in them (though I wouldn’t for lessons and what not… they’re green with dogs on them ^,^) and they are waterproof… make sure to wear warm socks though
I would actually just go to target or fleet farm or something and buy some rain boots. They are a lot cheaper than equine boots, and if you need them to be sturdy for muck work then they will do the job. Plus, they come in many colors, and are pretty much no different than equine purpose rubber boots. Trust me they will do the job and you will some cash! =)
I know you like tall boots but check out the Ariat Glacier boots anyways just cuz they are AMAZING. Actually I think they make them as tall boots too I just don’t know if they are as good but the paddock glacier boots are the best–My feet are toasty warm within the first 5 minutes after I put them on its GREAT. I think Ariat has some similar tall winter boots too–Mountain Horse boots would also be great–my mom has some and they keep my feet ALMOST as warm as my ariat boots.

Yeah - we sell Mountain Horse boots and Ariat boots - both which come in insulated models for winter work. People like these the best out of any we’ve stocked and they keep coming back for them.
