what kind of jackets do you wear and what kind of pants? do you wear jeans ever? also do i need to get snow boots and what brand of snow boots looks cool and feels comfy and warm? also, do you know any good stores to buy all this stuff from when i get over there.
also, how many layers of shirts do you wear underneath your jackets?

well, in my opinion. It’s not really that cold in New York, it rarely snows, so yeah… But sometimes, I wear 2 layers
so I bring 2 layers of clothing x the days you’ll be staying X)
for pants, I don’t think it’ll matter. But you should bring something other than jeans, you can wear jeans, but if it gets wet it’s kinda uncomfortable to walk around in :/
I’m not a very snow boots person :l (or a boots person…;;) but you can bring boot if you want. Any kind it won’t really matter XD;;
Good stores? Well, I don’t buy my clothes, my mom does (I don’t like shopping w/ her that much XD;). She usually goes to Old Navy, Gap, Macy, and Abrocombi and Fitch (I’m not hip like you youngin’s so I can’t spell it :/)

It is not really that cold in NYC. Just take your heaviest jacket and a sweater. If you have any kind of boot, bring them. Most New Yorkers just wear sports shoes all year round.
And when you do get there and you think you need a little extra, just buy it. New York City is just lousy with stores. Though the best bargains are in the Canal Street area and the Garment District.
wear a shirt, sweater, long pants or jeans, sneakers or fashion boots, down or wool jacket, a scarf and gloves, you can buy all those things from places like h&m, old navy, macys and just about anywhere else.
it gets to be about 0-10 (celcius)sometimes higher or lower, and it doesnt snow much at all unless you are north of the city.
Well NY isnt that cold, and we havent had a seriously snowy winter in some years, I would get a wool jacket some sweaters, maybe some thick long sleeve shirts. one pair of regular boots just in case u get that mushy nasty snow.
me personally i usually go w/ a T under my jacket, maybe a sweater and undershirt if it gets real cold, but ive lived here forever so id go for a little more if i were u.
In the winter when it’s really cold like Jan or Feb, i wear like 2 tshirts, a sweater and a hoody over that sweater. The cold here in the Winter chills the inside of your bones and sometimes i even wear 2 leggings underneath my jeans and 2 pairs of socks.
