Can a tavern legally kick an individual out forever without a reason in the state of Wisconsin?

Chippewa
Jessica P asked:

Recently as two years ago, a 27 year old female has been prohibited from entering a tavern in the city of Chippewa Falls. The Owner of the establishment states that he has the right to forbid anyone to enter his establishment without a reason. Is this true? This tavern is located our of city limits and is in the Township of Lafayette, Wisconsin, Chippewa County, Wisconsin.

Absolutely…the right to refuse service is real, and if that right is invoked, it is legal in a private establishment, barring any illegal parameters (race, color, sex, etc).

Yes! All businesses have a right to refuse you service. And to enter once you have been asked to not return is trespassing and punishable by law.

Any business has the right to refuse service to anyone, for any reason. But I think that has to be posted.
