Also, what I did once, was find a pair of decent shoes you like, take them to a shoe repair place and ask them to add rubber layers. This will turn them into platforms/boots. I alternated each layer black/ whie, and wound up w/ a totally unique pair . These places can do wonders you might not have expected
Or… you could use a Bedazzler if you have one and/or pick up cheap little things like studs or beads at a craft store to put on them.
