What is the construction of a boot program, how does it work? Talking about yahoo messenger booting?

Work Boot
skahhh asked:

I get booted from yahoo messenger repeatedly by people who are egotistical. I don’t swear, or use sex terms, call names. These booters seem to be either random or wishing to eliminate reason.

So I am trying to find out, what language I can write a program to defend against a booter, or are there programs out there that can do this?

Am I using the wrong operating system, or is this just chat room disturbance?

Try downloading a free chat client such as ytunnel basic.

    First of all, Hi.

Second, please pardon my English ( not native English speaker here ).

    Now to your question.

See, these creatures booting decent chatters in rooms are socially challenged things. Ofcourse it is nice to boot someone holding the mic for too long or abusing others , still it is not the right thing to do.

Booting basically works like this. The booter use some program (mostly coded in java) which can log in lot of yahoo ids from his comp (50,100,200 like that). The he sends lot of packets (im, buzz, cam requests and lot more others) to a single user. This will effectively fills up the buffer of the yahoo messeger / or any other client. In layman terms, the messenger try to handle all these requests, and by that eats up lot of the comp’s processor speed and ultimately hangs / freezes the system. Also it depends upon the internet bandwidth and the CPU speed the booter and you have.

Another kind of booting is called voice lagging. I guess the person who is a lagger uses a program to create excessively large audio (udp) packets which cannot be handled by messenger / third party clients and hence overloading them and freeze them up.

Another kind of booting is to send some special disconnection packets to the clients so that they think that yahoo server is sending this and disconnects them from the server. This is called exploit booting

As far as I know most of the booters and written in visual basic. So are most of the third party yahoo clients. Some of the clients are coded in delphy and even java. So basically you need to write boot protection algorithm any one of the above mentioned languages. I am not a programmer, but a long time yahoo chatter. So have done some research on this.

So , when you code a boot protection program, please try to get an indepth knowledge on yahoo messenger protocol (YMSG). Also find some better algorithm to handle the packets faster. Also identify how to block / prevent voice lagg packets. Please search around in the source forge for orphaned messenger client program source codes. If you succeed, please make the client / boot protector available to the public free of cost like some of the third party client programmers did.

    All the best.
