What to wear in New York in Late september?

So in a couple days i’m gonna visit NewYork and i’ve never been there before so i was wondering what I should wear. Will it look weird if I wore my new ugg boots?

    It is still pretty warm in late Sept, like low 70s. I have seen people wear Uggs but it is definitely not a common thing. Layers are good since it can go from sunny and really warm to cool at night.
    Can’t go wrong with a nice Tshirt and jeans, sneakers and a light jacket. The great thing about New york is that there are so many different styles so it is hard to stand out.

    we have been having nice weather … I would wear flat shoes + pants + turtleneck + a cosy woolen shirts for casual (can’t think of any other way to explain it except to give a link …)
    Pendleton
    (like the ‘49er jacket….they always look so comfortable)
    and for dress wear if you are going out for the evening:
    * lightweight fall clothes
